I recommend using Filezilla as it is free for both Mac and PC: http://www.filezilla-project.org
Please create a folder, name it same as your name or artist name so we can understand who supplied what. If you supply different kind of samples please create specific folders inside your own folder too (drums, percussion, bass, synth leads, synth pads, fx, vocals etc.)
Please supply high quality 24 bit 44.1 kHz samples. Would be nice if you export mono sounds into mono files like kicks, snares etc. That will help everyone and will reduce the size by half.
Also lets discuss on the deadline, for example, March, 31 (or so). After that date I am closing the account and we'll discuss on how to sort the samples and other details. I will be able to host the sample pack permanently on the server with regular http access.

makus, you're the man! That pretty much sorts out everything.
Agree about the date, that should give everyone enough time. Besides, this can be version 1. People can get their stuff in on v2 if they miss out

I am super stoked on this! I will borrow my friends mic equipment and make a few really cool samples from stuff in the chemistry lab i work in... breaking glass, vacuum suction noises, and the autoclave makes this amazing whooshing hissing noise when you open it after its done with a cycle....

would be nice if you could level your sample the same, something like - 4 db or what you want but not at zero db to avoid cliping and for better browsing experience.
batch procssing is possible for this but with lot of folders its gonna be a pain.. |

If it is going to be too many samples, we will split the sorting work between several people. Anyways I work super fast, so not a problem for me to cut / normalize / export and categorize 300 sampels in 2 hours

Welcome! Yes, more than a month yet - super enough.
Let synth preset be too, but maybe it is a better idea to create another pack for those. However i think we should decide which VST synths or effects to use and limit the preset creation to those vsts.
