this is a very good idea , but since this is an open read only forum , anyone and everyone can come here , take ftp details ,download the loops.....whatever is there on it and use it for their own solo tracks.. this would be more like a database of sounds , fx ,samples ,lead patterns etc....Although it would be really cool if everyone were sincere in their approach and work as a team !!!
Just my little input on the whole idea !

the question here is how to contribute....im really dont know if there was such a big contribution with so many ppl making one track!
this can be endless talks......we have to choose some guidelines to follow! imho

i think we should start with a first loop people should upload their kick+bass we choose one that is exepted to most people because kick+bass will give the style of the track and it is important that we will exept one that most prople are o.k. with and from then on he will do the kick+ bass and on top of that one person will do the prec, melodies and synth can be made by two/three people i think and so on......
i think it is important that one person will make the final decisions regarding everything and no arguing, try to keep good vibes, because we are alot of people it is important to keep that in mind
from what it looks like tsabeat is allready doing the job.
so lets start....

ok cool , let the peaple judge..
would the peaple joining in rather to keep the ftp password in pm's? (surly its possible?)
ok . any objections on bpm (143) and scale (g major) that alias suggest ?
i reckon we can start make the loops 
lets get on , and see how we keep woking.
so , who makes kick and bass ? will probably be good idea to start with it to get the first picture
i think need 3 bass loops , one funky for begining , one powerfull for the end , and one to make the track unique and diffrent from "usual" formula's
i still think leave the harsh EQ mostly to mixing stage (colin) since we dont know for sure what will blend in with the sound we make.

ill add the percussion and drums like hihats and snares im into the groove thing!
but for me to start i need the kick/bassline combo thats to be used or else i dont have a template to work on some ideas!
when i get those ill make 4-5 different grooves and upload them for the involved to choose the best! after u decide the best ill upload the loops with lots of variations for the one that will arrange the track!

I think when it comes to bass it needs more than audio, since it is all over the track and possibly has to be tonally adjusted to other elements especially when it comes to melodies...
My proposal would be if different persons write nice patterns and one or two do a nice patch in a synth available for the ones who arrange and mix.
Elsewhere I don't see the need for midi, but when it comes to bass I think it is worth the extra effort for exchanging preset.
OR, if somebody does melodies which demand more than a onetone/octave bassline staying at G, the person should also deliver the according bassline.. hmm complicated see what I'm up to?
Any suggestions?
When it comes to loops in general, melodies nstuff.. I think that 8 to 16 bars is enough, and gives many possibilties. if longer than that, then divided in 8 to 16 bar pieces.

Oh one thing that is usefull if you bounce melodies and leadz, don't bounce with reverb and/or delays unless they are absolutely essential to the sound and even then it is best to bounce two version. One with and and one without effects. That makes it much easier to edit and allows people to use the sounds and mangle them for special FX etc.
