Ah fuckit why not...
I wouldn't mind having a go at the kick and bass either... and as long as whoever edits (arranges?) the track just sent me individual instruments as stems when they were finished, I could mix it too (if that's what the collective decides), as well as master it. I wouldn't want to spend more than a couple of days in total on those last two tasks, but if everything else up to that point was good and I got the data as I wanted it, it shouldn't take any longer than that.

Arranging it is the (very) tricky bit I think.
Will it be communal or indvidual?
I'm up for having a stab at arranging either way, but if people with better skills or just real desire want to have a pop then I'll happily go and compose lots of wobbly noises and leads (should that be something people wish me to do)
I run Cubase, so that is all okay.
Whatever, I'm easy

ok wait for couple of more to join in.. seems we are on the right path here , possible to start soon
alias , i think acoustic recordings will be awsome! we can have some sort of etnical moments in the big break actualy make nice ambient part, but just first idea i came up with , lets hear more suggestions 
also , i think if eq used for mix purpuse and not artistic one , better leave it to the mix stage (gentle hipass and stuff i guess wouldnt hurt too much)
colin agree on this ? seems ur up for this stage
speakafreaka got good idea for the chord progression ?

so we have suggestions for F or G , major or minor .. seems like a start , vote or... not 
also
atropa - percussion
alias - etnic acoustic recording
colin - mix & master (edit?)
and some peaple can still do alot
is it that matter the kick and bass made by the editor realy ?
also , if someone wants to send midi or project file and i record something with my synths

i think possible to split the edit for 2 peaples , thats heaps of work and always 2 (or 10) better then 1

even if it's not about to start right now, it's better to have it up ...
USE YOUR FAVORITE FTP SOFTWARE and put the files in the "web" folder.
then organize like you want with subfolders.
and putting in the "web" folder you may afterwards share direct links using ::
http://www.minimium-project.com/isratrance/"YourSubFolder"/"YourFileName".wav
anyone should have write accesses.
server : http://www.minimium-project.com
user : isratrance
pass : producers
default port (21)
if any support needed, feel free to ask.

I'm in too, but since I use Logic that probably puts me at odds. is there a Logic group, or anyone that uses LP7? I think that having a common sequencer is key, and most of you use Cubase (I know) so that would make it difficult for me I think as everything would have to be in audio, synced etc

I can also host an FTP server on a Fiber line, and a probably clear off to make room for several Gb if necessary

a good idea will be always to stay updateded in the current stages of the song , and then if u have something that fits bounce audio file

maybe a separation of arrangement and mixdown would be an idea?
Anyway, I like the idea, but don't know how to contribute. I'm good in making a song "whole" making it "say" something. So if anywhere in the process it is needed to make sense out of something, you can nock on my door.
