i have this idea long time.. perhaps time to share it.. possibly i did sometime ago but lets make it happen
so:
lets make a join project 
we can start by discuss here what we wanna do (like bpm and scales) and evryone can put in some loops ,melodies , atmosphere and we will pick 1-2 peaple to edit it , and that will be their part of the track.
i think to go in the middle for evryone to like it.. so no sub sub genre will fit here.. simple good old fun psytrance.
i thought going on 144 145 bpm , on major scale (F , G ,A ?) and possible progression i reckon is good idea sometime in the middle.
so who is in ? and what part u feel like doing ?

hmmmm... i think it will be better if the will be a Dark Group,Full on Group, Progressive Group, Chill&Ambient Group.
and like elad said: pick BPM,Scale,and so on....
upload loops of melodies,beats,and 2 ppl will Edit it to something Extremlly Twisted
it can be intresting.
i'm willing to edit the Dark Group

i reckon to make it work we will have to make some limits , nothing too nazi... 
we need up to 6-7 peaple to work on it before we get too messy..
divide it to favorite stuff is good , example - atropa to make percussion section (are u into the tribal ones and we need a "drummer" too?)
the sequencer is not so important at the moment until we find who make the final edit , then you can pass him native program projects or .wav (most simple for most of the stuff... personly i rather final edit to be done in cubase , the loops as audio will be easy to work with)
about style.. i guess we will have to make quick vote , i dont think there is enough peaple to make several tracks , lets start at the begining. my vote goes for beautifull tribal rythms with gentle melodic structure , packed with psychadelia.
i guess audio loops should be 64 bars or something simple and square mostly for best fit to all.. if u like to use triplets parts mention it now and all loops should come also with triplets quantization
so.. lets hear more scales suggestion
also who wanna make
*kick and bass
*hihats
*snares and roll off's
*percussion (atropa)
*psychadelic effects
*lfo-ish loop (something wet nord style)
*powerfull lead (virus killer cutoof style)
*chords (housy style ? anything for background i guess is good)
*melodic lead
*atmospheric pads
*psychadelic vocals
*edit
*mix
*master
anything more is welcome 
i guess start working next week sounds like enough time to plan this
i;d defintly love to make some hihat snare rythms , and possibly some twisted fx

I'll help in whatever capacity I can,
strengths:
synthesis,
chord progressions and leads
fx chains and EQ 'Ear'
highly varied output
lots of free time for the next few months
weaknesses:
percussive stuff (excluding kicks)
somewhat over protective
tendency to grind after 3.00 ish minutes when writing
changing from one section into another
somewhat evasive
will work in any style, apart from extreme darkness, because it gives me a headache to produce.
If I can be of any help, let me know
EDIT: and when we say major, do we mean, well, err... major? Surely minor FTW?
EDIT: Bypass triplets IMO.
EDIT!!!: IMO, whoever does the mix also needs to do the bass and kick.

i can help with acoustic instruments!
im recording acoustic/classic guitars....also pan flute and ney flute!
also i can compose melodies with all types of strings and other acoustic instruments from modules!
and even i can help with ethnic drums/perc loops.....tabla, darbuka ,djembe...etc...!
ofcourse i dunno if you want such sounds in this track!
i have 2 vocal cds.....one is ethnic vocals.....second is various stuff!

i dont have a lot time now because of the test period,
but i ll do what i can...
i prefer melodic morning music
i want to do melodies and/or kick +bass
i like minor scales, f minor is fine with a touch of pendatonic grooves |
