basicly its a great idea imho, but...
like said b4, poeple that have the time, money, good will... should deal with it.
and it better b only few guys... many people involved can cause big balagan.
about the music... sure u shoukd ask the singed artits around here, but if an unknown guy made some killer staff... so y not put him in?
about the style, its not a lable cd. we dont have only one style here, this cd should bring out all music tastes & styles from here.
and all the above can hapen only with the agreement of the "big boses".
so... if u`ll go 4 it, good luck
i`ll buy it :D |

The idea of an Isratrance compilation has existed since not long after we started the site. There have been many concepts to it and quite a few names and even some talk with labels.
However, for now there will be no Isratrance compilation.
The reason is basically that we do not wish to open our own label with all the business work surrounding such a move, neither we want to do this through other labels for few valid reasons.
If there is going to be a compilation with the name Isratrance on it, it has to be top stuff. With all my respect to what Psynews have done with the compilation, it's not something that will sell seriously, it's an amateur project, and well done for an amateur project, but it's not what we'll do if we make an Isratrance compilation.
Now if you want to make a forum compilation- go ahead, this suggestion was raised before and I replied that I think it is very nice and I'll be happy to see this community pulling together and doing it. But remember it's not an easy task. It costs money and it takes A LOT of work. You also are bound to make A LOT of mistakes, as you know nothing about this industry (and when you talk compilations, you talk industry, believe me). Something like this was done by 604 list members few years ago. The guy that organized the project and put the money in- lost most of it.

Guys, I think you've been living in a dream world. First of all, you got nothing to do with the label "IsraTrance". The only guys, who have the right to use this word is Shivas and Shachar. Except chatting here and making fun you didn't took part of any financial, organizational or technical steps toward developing this site and this name. Second thing, IsraTrance need to keep his level HIGH and quite DIFFERENT from other sites, as it always was. The only guys, who must decide about compilations and the artists to took a part are the guys who will decide about the future of this site, who will choose the way it looks and the way it talks to the people.

If I may add:
Shahar (alongside ShivaS) is the father of Isratrance. And Shahar probably knows more about trance than the vast majority of us. AND he's doing a compilation for HomMega. Now, i kinda think that disc will be somewhat representative of isratrance. After all, shahar, as i already said, is the father of this.
Personal as it is, his comp represents isratrance in a way. |

Luiz- my compilation is not an Isratrance compilation- it has quite a few non-Israeli tracks, though i think it shows a transformation trance in Israel has gone through. |

From what i have noticed all the time that i am in this forum i guess that our friend shahar will sure have included BLT and Hujaboy in his compilation.Yeah the man has good taste :) |
