ammm..
i more materical person and more believe in stores..
we tryed sell books on net (i guess that cd's is other story but..) and its going..hmm.. too slow..
its good idea have net store but u need money for it.. and just take booked from a ppl and send it by a post its not good and u must bank count for it and u have to be a firm. u cant do it like a private person.
so its not (as i know) usefull way..
and what about this compilation ?? not about show the world that here is the new and intetesting music ppl ?? |

what we can do about it ?? absollutely nothing exept isratrance way (and number of mafiozy here show me that exept killer/great/best compilation we will not see anything...

May I remind everybody the feeble attempt to unite Isratrance for a party? remember that?
Most ppl here couldnt even get together, have fun and support a simple trance party, and you wanna compile, produce and distribute a compilation?
Ignoring what I just mentioned, an Isratrance compilation could be a good idea (and Zombi, fuck comercializm - you will understand that when u get into the bizz), like Chaishop compilation or the Natraj Temple compilation. I'd suggest that the ppl who want to pull this off should contact ShivaS (its his site after all), sort out the managment details (who is the producer/manager of this project) and contact ppl from the industry who can contribute and help.

Ok lets get some ideas here.
This compilation could look like this IF offcourse the artists agree to get into this compilation.
So we could have a track from BLT,another one from Psysex,something from Hujaboy (his new album is so goooood),maybe contact Skazi and ask him about one of his tracks too,so we have 4 names here that are actuall members of this forum and produce good music.As for a distribution label i think that Mr Eyal would be very interested in helping the situation out,or MDMA as someone mentioned before.Very interesting idea. |

About names, DETOX is right. You should have some signed artists from this forum, such as Yuli, Huja, Psy Sex, etc. Some artists that are a little known such as Evil Drug Lords and Molecular and really unknown artists like me (for example ;-)).
I know we have some labels hanging around in here (Trancelucent), maybe they can help. |

When people buy a compilation like this they have a better feeling about it, because IsraTrance is something closer to them than some label like Hommega or MDMA.
I say that [b]if[/b] we make something like this, having the IsraTrance name on it is a must. |

Shivas the whole thread exists because of the Isratrance name on the cd.We are not trying to open a new label here or anything like that. |

My perspective:
Ups:
1. We have a LOT of talented artists here, it could be a great compilation. If we include the people that RARELY come to this site, we can add to the ones mentioned here before also Sesto Sento, Mr. Peculiar and Sienis, as well as a few more.
2. Heck, just for the fun. Seeing "Isratrance" written on a compilation will make me smile.
3. We could discover some new talents here, since I know a few people in this forum that aren't known but make some pretty kicking tracks.
Downs:
1. It's been done, it's happening again just now. Psynews are doing an excellent job.
2. People must put money and effort into this. Will they? Honestly, would you?
3. How are people going to pick the music? Some people will feel that they made better music but didn't get into the compilation unfairly, and they might even be right. There's no full proof way.
Overall I'd say I'm for the idea, but since I don't have the time to organize this, this isn't up to me. |

There could be even a double CD! :)
as a compiler, compiles the CD with a certain feeling in it,
for instance:
mixing different styles of trance in on compilation might be a bad idea.
but makin two CDz - one let's say dark minimal :) - and one full on melodic :) - might be a good idea.
but again, somebody who has time for this and willin to put alot of effort - not some kid job - is really needed for this things to really work. |
