Hi guys,

first of all, a big thank you to ISRATRANCE and all the involved artists for the sweeeeeet 10 years of IT compilation..!!!!!!!!

you can get it here if you haven´t seen it yet:
http://forum.isratrance.com/Compilation/
very nice music indeed...

now this is the Equipment and music creation section. so i have one technical question.
there is a (really nice)track on the compilation from N.A.S.A...

is it possible to make a kick drum like this with bazzism? (and of course post fx, and which)
i permanently fail to get a decent psy drum sound i like from that plugin.. actually i fail making psy drums i like at all. seems so simple.. but...

you can get hard techno kicks and soft 808like kicks from bazzism in seconds, but those psychedelic soft punching kicks i fail to make...

any suggestions how to ?

any help appreciated

Not 100% exact, but a good place to start:

Tweak it to fit your bass and EQ it a bit..           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

Btw, if you don't like that, my advice would be to make a punchy kick (or adjust one of the full on kick presets), adjust the attack of the kick in the envelope section, and EQ around 2.5khz.           You believe in the users?

hi kane,

sorry to get back on topic so late. thanks a lot for your patch. i brought me back on track with bazzism..

i combined you patch, some eq and something i read somewhere else in this forum: i use quadrafuzz on the kick, but only on a prefader out signal that is routed to a bus. so i keep the bottom end of the kick in the original channel unsquashed (upper freqs cut down with a shelve on this one), and only distort the upper parts on the bus channel (lower parts cut out with hipass).. gives nice knocking but round kicks..

now i pretty much like my OWN kicks which i was working on for long time now... sweeet!

cheers mate

I seem to find a good number of sample kicks that sound good but my problem is CRASHES! I like a thin, clean, longer decay (think "The Jhon" remix on Ace Ventura [Re:Boot] and cannot find good starting material to work with. I wonder if its some kind of sample and hold trick to get the long decay like that.

I like to trim and crop in Sound Forge and sometimes I will use the native EQ there or I have Voxengo Gliss EQ.

What do you think about using the supplied EQ's with VST's such as Battery 3? They seem basic - are they transparent and good enough to get the job done?

when you guys mean EQ, for me as begginer it seems a vast possible things to do!

is to CUT, or to BOOST? i heard you never boost nothing...

but a little cut on low mids for the leads came out, and a little cut when the bass hit...

what about hi pass and low pass on Bazzism? i only see that possible with VST, or is the Auto filter effect of LIVE 9 who does that?           https://soundcloud.com/ancientaliengoa

Did you create that kick yourself or was it an already existing sample?

Ha I missed submitting to this one entirely... then again, how many years ago? Isn't there a new one in the works??
