mahadeva is another name for lord shiva, literally translated it means the god almighty.
ohm nama and hare hare is a chant preceding the name.
in india many ppl say boom shankar before they hit the chillum, i dont usually, unless i'm very satlan:)
ppl beleive shiva smoked charas high up in the himalayas to keep him warm and thats why his blood is blue, but theres other legends as well regarding this ethereal colour. I'm not very good at this to be honest. |
