I onced went to a club party cause I have been told that Infected would be there (unfortunately they weren't) which there I heard progressive techno house with brilliant unseen mix, the DJ was Asi Kojak and he is playing at the FFF line in Haoman 17.

there are a number of house DJs in Israel that eat most of us for breakfast in technique - Asi Kojak, Shlomi Zidan and Sahar Zangelevich. Their music is shite (no other word comes to mind, sorry) but what mixing!  I happend to hear them by mistake and was very surprised to hear the flows and progressions of their sets. but I guess thats not too hard - house trax begin with 32 bars of Bassdrum and build very gradually and finish with 30 seconds of pad r too easy to mix. lets see them try to mix Yuli's wierd ends... :)

Talking about non-psychodelic DJ, I can add Ilan Lugaci, the one I practicaly learned how to mix from. And although he plays club music, his sets are really interesting, the material he plays doesn't slug into these kitchy synth melodies and the mix, oh man...

to GuyShanti- its not too hard to mix psytrance to because the beat is still 4onthefloor.

beat has nothing to do with it. its the intros and outros that count and they decide if you have an easy or hard life.

Shanti, 40% of a House track usually dedicated to the track "building" in the beginning and the track "destruction" at the end so that the mix would be one hell of s story.

As for Trance, I think that the track's opening with the effects or the samples are very important components that should be count in your mixes, for example lets take "Let There Be Light" (AP's of course), when I hear the opening of it I'm getting shiver, therefore, I, as a DJ, wouldn't give up on such influence on the crowd.

Bom, 8)

sextazi - those 40% make the mix easy. just as long as u keep your eye on the bpm counter.
