well i have a quetion now!
emm when dj come with his computer lap top and play i usally think its live using sofware
the patry of avi&zohar i think with sun control i remmember he used a lap to in some point of his set
it was live or not?
i thought it was live |

It's more likely to be live if they use a laptop than if they just bring a couple of hardware synths.
Basically if they do not have a computer you can be 99% sure that the track is playing back in a presequenced fashion. Most likely just with some added sweeps harldy audible in the mix.
And if the guy's is busy twiddling knobs on their synths you can be certain that it's not much being controlled "live".
The possibilities for even controlling the arrangement in realtime with software like abelton is amazing today, and that would be the obvious choice for anyone who really want to make live trance in my opinion.
