heya.

i was searching for cool samples and stuff and i stumbled on apoun these:

SPACE TRANCE SYNTH ARPEGGIOS.

Goa Construction Kits

And more...

There are really kick ass sounds in these sample packs but thing is it's alot of 40 second pieces of art in my opinion.

If i would be using them it wouldn't be my music... just my ideas, gluing stuff togheter and adding stuff.

any ideas?
any ideas how to create these amazing samples by yourself without any hardware?

well its not stealing if you modify the samples in soundforge and change it completely from the original.Remember you can purchase sample cds from the internet and use those, they're some really excellent ones. I've heard samples in tracks which I know and have, like the bells in Sandmans Tribal Blah Blah i  used in one of my ambient tracks. try to be original and dont make your track entirely of samples.

hi !
it's a general opinion of many
analog audio professionals that analog synths
and sound are better ...
if this wasn't their opinion they'd lose
their jobs:-)... but analog vs digital is
ending up on a DAT or a CD  - they r digital,
so u can make ur sound so analog ....and in the
end it's on a CD ...or MD or DAT or
whoknows what!

i think that most of the things u can do with
a good softsynth,
and a good softsynth for me is:

1) sound quality,
2) as flexible as possible
3) can be controlled via external/loopback midi.

i don't wanna make adz, but VAZ Modular is
all this.
it's a little wierd at the beginning...
but if u read the tutorial - u catch it up
very fast, try it and u can make:

sequences ... mean loopz
[with different gates,
velocities, trigs, many envelopes,
LFO's,fx,oscillators,amps ....all in one, and]
or one shot sounds -
anything!!!
u can do a kickdrum,
u can try making a flute,
it is a synthesizer :-), u know
u can just load another sample ...
and change it till u can't recognise it :/

there's a famous sample from the Acid Cd's, in Dandandado - El Catato, the guitar riff of Methods of Mayhem, something like anyways, it's nice to use these kind of samples if u have rare stuff and u tweak it. if u use it at any other way, it's simply not original.

Wasn't the sample from El Cateto Skinny Puppy?
It's very famous...
