I just want to know if this bassline is even close to the sound I need? Is the pattern structure right? What could make it better?

You should remove delay, put the whole sequence one octave lower, and decrease frequencie. That should do some work.
Try all combinations on plugin or synth that you are using, and you'l probably find what you need.

I don't want to create to many simular threats so I'm just posting this here...
Like everyone else I'm trying to create a goa track, but I'm having a hard time figuring out whats sounds right, is the hh´s ok?, shuld the bass be louder ect. ect. So it would be great if someone would listen to this shot mp3 and tell me if I'm on the right track. The mp3 is not a track, just a lot of ideas mixed together...
Thanx.

icedice> Your link doesnt work. Atleast not right now. Will try later.

lithium72>> Nah its not so good. Listen to Elf. You should lower the seq an octave or so. And I dont think that you should jump a whole tone up (to F#). Try jumping a semitone up to F instead of F#. Thats would give you a more typical evil goa feel.

The high ones...
I think you should just turn down the resonance on the filter.

It starts out really good. The kick, hh and bass are well ballanced in relation to each other. But I think the first lead+sfx are way to loud. The lead at 44 sec is at the right level. The distorted saw is ok too.

ice: great bassline! Hi hats r not bad. try to layer another hi hat with higher frequencies over it. First synth is quite annoying but the melody is great. So I would change the synth ur using on it. Then the squeeky synth that comes in isnt bad , but it hurts my ears. Take down some of the high frequencies off it and put reverb on it. Synth at 44 is really good, has a lot of potential. U need better claps tho.

1 more thing, Bass kick ratio is about right. Its the other sounds that should be lower

lithium72, dont lower it a octave, just a few semitones down, maybe three...

the bass is gulping on Goa3.. if you can say that.

i think you are after a ligher bass so dont go that low... just like i said a few semitones down.

and icedice, very nice balance between bass and kick(reminds me of Eskimo) and hihats.. but the sounds are way too high and dry... you can get tinitus if you play that stuff loud...

think of the Fletcher and Munson theory...
