imo its not only the forum thats dieing...look a few years back...the whole scene is going that way (towards a grave?)
every year less and less quality releases...also creativity...since 05/06 (golden years, kinda like 95/96 were) nothing groundbraking happened. yeah there were good/great releases over the years no doubt about that. but since 05/06 artists were either steady or declineing in their musical expressions, not ascending...some stayed the same, some went down, many changed...psychedelic became only a word, once it was much much more, now its more souless then ever...is the scene having an identity crisis?...makes me a sad panda

Seems alive to me, at least judging by the moderation work that needs to be done. But that is up to all of us really....

new generation prefers facebook... the average age in here is getting higher.. means less time to spend on forums since most of us dont live with parents providing food/shelter..
and it needs an overhaul for the forum to work its getting dated and the sections are getting too many..
soon we gonna have different sections for hihats/kicks/basses/dark/light/prog/minimal/creation/production..
forums need to be messy to have fun when we categorize everything for the sake of organization it gets boring.
and although correct but in here we try to be to much politicaly corect in everything..
when fun is out than death is in the next corner!

our scene is going new exiting places.. (at least i feel that some corners of the 'scene' are.. ) this forum seems to have mostly people that don't listen to the music anymore but still want to complain about it cause they can't keep up with the WHOLE.. there is no WHOLE.. yeah .. the universe.. this "scene" now has many shapes and subforms..
But let's not try to name those ! please.
Most parts about this forum are a bit useless and outdated.. i think. Most "not psy" threads are still active and interesting.. but i guess there's smarter talk about those subjects in dedicated forums..
And again.. sometimes refreshing threads or comments pop up..
Production/music making thread is very interesting sometimes if you're into that.
Promo releases thread is still up to date and handy if you wanna know what's coming or is out.
Making pictures possible in threads would refresh this forum i think. little bit..
to give it the same possiblities as "real" forums ?

i mean, seriously, facebook might be the best promotion platform on the internet and i am sure you can find at least 100000 accounts there who have something to do with trance. but only here you will find the 500 accounts of people who had to do with trance 15 years ago too. i believe.
the older it gets, the more truth there is inside.
i believe that isratrance and chaishop are the best places to check for trance news on the internet. and more important - news about who is doing what and not about who is releasing what and who is organising what and who wanna earn money with what.
and facebook is a kind of ridiculous to me. i mean, sure it is a great thing to have it and be connected but i dont see any discussion in it.
okey, every day i see hundreds of ppl who like something. why dont i see ppl who hate or dislike something? a kind of a fundamental illusion as a basis....no debate in facebook. only promotion. but yeah it gives a feelin gof importance to suddenly have 5000 fans. or to suddenly be important what you do and what you like - for ppl who dont have any other presence on the internet. and they are the boring part of the internet anyway.
but it is a nice link base though. may be the best on the whole internet. it is important to be a part of it.
anyway, i would be really sad if i were not a part of this forum in isratrance. it gives me really a lot to be a small part of it. thanks to all involved. keep the faith:)
