Is Omnidance on for this year?

It's almost May and I haven't even heard whispers about Omnidance Festival. The website www.omnidancefestival.info has remained unchanged. I've yet to pick up any info on the omnitribe mailinglist as well. Does anyone have an information as to if this festival is going to happen and when? |

good question.... while omnitribe is not well known to do things way in advanced... may is usually the time they post things at least... omni people anything cooking?

i am not from the Omni Ppl but as far as i found out the answer on the same question i was told that there is a problem with the place and its pretty tight for making it in june.
If i am wrong and it is happening i will take my ass 2 da place fast! cause its 1 of the best of what i xp-riensd in the US!

Well, if it happens, it will not be at Echo Lake again this year.
The people over at the lake do not want to deal with "this type" of events anymore. And they do not differentiate between psytrance and other raves as far as I understand.
Here's to hoping it will happen somewhere else.

 I heard that two ppl behind the festival going to MArocco (big fest).
It may be the reason (I hope not).

There is a similar vibe growing at the campground that Blueshift uses in Wisconsin. The owner of the campground is continuing to allow its use by Blueshift, but he doesn't want any other "raves" at the campground. He basically does not differentiate between different forms of electronic music, considering it all a "rave" event.
The good news is, there are many, many private campgrounds in the U.S. and quite a few of them are starving for cash. |

mietek - morrocco is in late august....
the strange thing is some artist friends have contacted me about coming to nyc at the beginning of june to play here for omnitribe on a festival. i dont wanna give out names since they told me not to go public with it yet until everything is 100% solid. but if this will happen WE ARE IN FOR A SERIOUS TREAT THIS YEAR FOLKS!

Wow. Now I may be even more confused than before. I hope that Omnitribe is able to pull something together. I had a great time last year. |

For anyone still wondering, I just read from the email list that the new date for omnidance is Sept 16-18. So mark it down on your calendars. |

i don't understand though, because the TDC festival is at Echo Lake.

Yes obviously there is something else going on.
A knowledgeable person told me yesterday that Omnidance is still happening in September, but not at Echo Lake. |
