I'm trying to build a track on a bassline that is a bit different then i use to... But everytime i come up with an effect or synthline that I like it just sounds strange with the bassline.... i can't descide if it's the bassline or my brain that is fucked up...
Anyways, here is the bassline...

it's not your brain...
bassline is cool, but there are some very strange high frequencies in it. i can't tell you what it is exactly. it's not the bass sound itself, there is like a disturbing tone over it. maybe just my monitors, but i guess not.
no strange fx on the master or something like this?

Your bassline is absolutely beautiful. I really love the groove and the portamento. However, you may want to think about altering your kick slightly. I think that kick would go nicely with a more clicky bassline, but as your bass is so warm and bouncy I'd suggest a more midrange style kick. Maybe remove the distortion on it. But for the love of god don't change the bass! |

it shows that the sample rate of the mp3 is 32,000khz
why dont u export at 44100?
anyway the bassline sound really boomy, u should try this eq on the bassline ,
94hz -8db , or-12db high q (depends on ur eq plugin), 30hz low shelf -6db, 130hz -4db medium q,
46hzhz high q -3db.
