I like it... you can find some tutorials about it if u search (google). the more separate, the more flexible it is, but is becomes harder too. anyway i think everyone has a 'special tool' that uses, and ozone is one of them! for instance the harmonic exciter can give new breathe to old songs...

use waves are better and industry standart maybe more tricky to use but you will get better resoltes

Look at www.izotope.com for a guide how to use it right.

I use it sometimes, it has good multi bad compressing and good eq features.

I wouldn't say waves is much better, and there are lot more really good mastering tools, like the voxengo stuff which is really good quality.

Anyone using DSP ThrillMe, a little bit of its spectral enhancer seems to be good sometimes.

What do u think about spectral enhancing plugins?

I only use it for the harmonic exciter, which i really like a lot. The other stuff i use are plugins for Powercore and UAD-1. The order of plugins: Harmonic exciter > Multiband Compressor > EQ > Limiter. Mastering is not a trick though, it takes a lot of knowledge and skill as well as an accurate listening environment to give a track that magical polish. I have to admit never really got it right, but every track i'm getting better at it It's probably best to leave the mastering to a professional, if you're releasing a track. This will get you better results and will leave you more time to write music. Check:

Izotope didn't sound very good to me, and didn't think the interface was very good either. And that is kindof important when it comes to eq especially I think.

Like Orange said, waves rules when it comes to native mastering plugins. True that they are a bit more difficult to use correctly. Not so much because of the interface so much i think, but because of the sensitivity in the controls.

Spectral enhancing is good if the track sounds dull sometimes instead of eq, but I never used it for mastering any tracks for a CD release. Luckily the tracks haven't been that badly produced.
If you wan't to give air into a old recording or mp3 it's great though, since the frequencies is simply not there to be eq'd,
