I have plaid live three times without a "pro" soundcard. I just used the internal soundcard of my powerbook. No probs

hey Amygdala... seriously??
you using the G4 powerbook internal soundcard for
live acts?? is this good enough??
i just got a used G4 550mhz powerbook with 768mb ram for a good price. though i have no more money now and i do not have any money for a pro soundcard for the powerbook. would be nice if i could do a live
act without having to buy a pro soundcard first!!!
how fast is your powerbook cpu? do you think my
550mhz will run smoothly with cubaseSX 1.5.2 and
a pretty complex live-arrangement?

Hi,
well I have to say I dont like people playing with Mp3 and laptops, and call them selfs DJ. I mean its a bit unfair to the Guys who really do a good and concertrated job for hours without using "Autopilot". I mean maybe it sounds a bit rude but better switch to CD players and Wave.

@ all
use your mp3 player for training (possible with a hardwaremixer and 2 channels connection)
you would be able to play on a cd player also, if you do permanently.
