As a part time photographer at parties I second that. However, sometimes people are tripping or are in all sorts of moods and us photographers have to take that into considuration. Try to take pictures only after making sure the guy or gal saw you and approved it. Maybe they don't what the people at work/army/friends see them in this situation, and you gotta respect that.

,i think that many people don't like taking picturs of them at parties where it is most posible that they're high on something, or rather want to stay anaumis at parties. well then i gues that depends, let them be and they let you be... achieve sort of eye contact with the person you want to picture and wait for his aprove

I know i personally have been in states where i wouldn't really like having my picture taken... but i also expect a certain norm of decency where the photographer selects what he takes pictures of in the first place, and does a second selection as to wich he puts online...
If he does both i see not much harm in it... and they are beautifull memories if it's of a party you travelled for to get there, or met people you'll want to remember

just look at my panorama's in my gallery (link in cignature), where's the harm? I can show you other more degrading pics too though           www.psytracks.com :: Brand new website for sharing your psytracks with the world. Get a free 250Mb Artist profile, Blog and events calender!

taking fotos in Goa was a big nono back when i was there (7-8 years ago) there were stories about tourists geting beaten up and their cameras smashed cause of photos.

not sure if it's right but i do like to know that when i'm completley off my brains i won't have a photographer cathing me in those states.           Kinetic Honda GmbH, Worldwide Supliers of Quality noise.

trance parties aren't generally a nice place to be seen at...
And many people are on drugs there and can do some crazy stuff, and look really messed up...

With everyone having digital cameras its really become a non-issue but still some people really don't like pics taken - there was a fight at the Origin Festival here this last weekend because of this, it was very ugly.

Personally I don't like going into the dance floor to take pics because I prefer to be non-invasive, but not everyone feels the same way..

i love to take pics and do it for a quite long time now and i never had stress because of it, in fact i only met a lot of nice people and had much better partys - often only because of meeting someone or get in touch with some persons i would have never been getting in touch witout this cam.

At all i have to say i mostly take only nighttime and decoration pictures, but even during daytime on a lot of Festivals here in Germany and across Europe i never had probs, i think it´s a question of how to do it and how to react on maybe some mad views you get.

A lot of people asked for being taken ... in 2004, so i think it´s simple to follow some rulez and you´ll have no probs - you´ll only have more fun and you have some really good pics if you use a three feet and no flash light ( this is for all the ppl don´t getting their flashlights turned off ).

Because i hate those *fullinthefacewithmegaflash* pictures and i would get angry about those kind of action around me too. And about taking pics of other actions related to ... - n o c o m m e n t !!!

btw if you find yourself on one of my photos and you don´t want it to be published you can write an Email and i`ll delete it from the online gallery immediatley.
