Is it really nessesary?

This is not a topic aimed at bashing the mods so please don't take it the wrong way.
But when that is said I dont understand why it's nessesary to be so harsh on people when they start a topic that's already in the forum (sometimes very very far back in the archive).
Wouldn't it be better to treat the members with a little respect instead of short annoyed comments from the mods side? I know we all have bad days but it's something that's quite frequent here. I mean if a mod is annoyed because someone (many times brand new members) did not use the search properly then maybe it's time to ask yourself if you want to be a mod. If such small problems gets so annoying then it's maybe time for a little break?
Now as I said I am not bashing anyone. I just find it a bit sad that members have to be met with such little respect at times.

I see your point, but you should try to see it from the moderators point of view aswell!
Imagine youreself, that you need to write the same sentence down 10 times a day, its annoying..
People should learn to use the search, no doubt about it, but perhaps you got a point..
Cant wait to see the moderators respone heh =)

True but if it's so annoying that it result in disrespect or irritated comments toward the users then it's maybe time for a little break. After all when you sign up to become a mod it should be quite clear for everyone that not all goes smooth when you got to deal with so many different people.
And I think we can all agree that the search system have seen better days. It was 10 times better when you could do a search in the entire forum instead of now where you have to search each seperate forums. It does not attract people to use the search simply because it takes a lot of time this way. |

good point handa.ill definitely put some thought into it.
but... 
you must understand that we have lot's of work round here reading through all the threads and post and some time it can be very frustrating when you get the feeling that users just post in order to make our "life" harder.
i dont think the exemple you gave here is an exmple of a user who couldnt find some old thread froom 2002.how many "dark" threads do we have?you tell me,i know how much you love those.
so i think saylom gave half of the answer here.and i whould like to add that imo theres few kind's of users round here:
1)the new user.
2)the spammer.
3)the lazzy.
4)and the bored.
and i think i have enough experience to see who is who.so each of those will get the answer he deserve when i lock/delete his thread/post.
sorry handa but with all the respect i will not let the trance section looks like the india section.and if thats what needed to keep those users away from this section that what ill do.
what im trying to say is that you might be right but not in this case.

I dont know the guy in the link I provided so of course your in your full right to get annoyed with that particular member if it's a spammer. I would get irriated too if someone have been told to use the search and still ignore it.
And believe me mate I was not out to get you and your reply to him was not at all the worse example I have seen. But it was handy at the time...lol
I just wanted to start a debate to remind all of us to be a little better when it come to respect eachother... myself included.

all has been said already, at the end of the day - we stand behind our moderators and their call of judgement, sometimes for better and sometimes for worst... u have to remember when dealing with the subject of people you are bound to make some mistakes and encounter some friction.
we can all be nicer to each other - agreed, have a good weekend as well.

Seriously though, they do a pretty good job do these mods of ours. Quite frankly, some of the best laughs I have had on the forum are the offtopic and/or locked thread messages they leave for us. They completely crack me up top the point where I often read closed topics just to see what comedic gems the reds have left for our viewing pleasure. It's all part of the fun and the spirit of Isra in my opinion, and so long as nobody is out and out rude/insulting then it should be accepted as part of the course and not taken too seriously by any of us.

well....its full with offtopics moltiple threads fight and other s**t.
what can be done?well....im sure the mods in the section do their best.but maybe 3 mods just isnt enough.
