I was participating in a remix competition from spun records and as i spend a lot of time doing the remix i would really apreciate a bit feedback for the song - but while sending it in i agreed that the rights belong now to spun records xD so i wonder if its ok to just post it here to get some feedback of you guys?

what do you think `?           http://www.muckymusic.blogspot.de/

Legally, by passing the rights for the tune to the label you don't own the track anymore, so it's up to the owner of the rights to allow it.. But still people post other people's tracks here and there isn't much of copyright enforcing in he trance scene.

In another way of thinking, you made the track so you have the original project, which means you can change it in some way to make it a different track I don't know how much has to be different but then again, who will check?

In a third perspective, if they cant find out who released it then they cant hurt anybody           Super Banana Sauce http://www.soundcloud.com/knocz

just that ideia of loosing a track to a label sounds wrong to me, the creator should have the same rights as the label

for a remix competition? I presume using their stems as well? You are joking Nychrologic aren't you? The creator is the guy that owns the original track surely?

It's usually the case that the stems/samples remain in/never left the ownership of the label, no?

I'd still love to hear your remix though mate!           https://soundcloud.com/craic-addict

Look at you, trying to be funny,
Anyhow, i'm talking about original music, not remixes (dunno if it applies in the original music scenario)

you can do whatever you like , but legally and out of respect , i would ask permission first . or edit it in such a way that it does not compromise the original.           www.harmlessprankster.bandcamp.com

well you guys are right - i dont think it will be a problem as iam not going to publishing the track anyhow - furthermore as i was working 2 month on this track there is not much of the original or of the stems left its like a new track. if its not from the name you proabably wouldnt even notice its a remix.

@ larrikin
the email where i send in the remix is proabably not even active anymore - and as i did not even get any response after sending it in - i dont think they would even respond me if i write directly to spun rec.

so here it goes : (if i should put it up on a different hoster just let me know)

as you could remix 2 tracks - here is also the second one :

http://www.filesonic.com/file/653606134/Animalis_-_La_Revolucion_(Muckypuh_RMX).mp3

this one still has some of the stems in it - and its not so well made as the other one - i did not even spend half of the time doing it as i spend with the other one but i still kind of like it.

again thx for listening and for your time           http://www.muckymusic.blogspot.de/

"Look at you, trying to be funny,

I wasn't trying to be funny. I WAS talking about remixes and so was the thread. Read it again maybe before being a dick about it, yeah?

I'd still like to hear the remix though.           https://soundcloud.com/craic-addict

Before we endup in discussion, let me fill you through, i said that thing of loosing rights of a track is crazy because i thought the guy was talking about original music, my bad if i misread but you started off saying "you are joking nychro aren't you" - instead of telling me i was mistaken you (like i said) tried to be funny, so i said that, and i also said that i didn't know if it applies to the original music scenario, so if anyone is being a dick, you sir are a nice option to bet on, next time, correct me, don't try to pull out jokes, thank you

if u sell the track to another label, that´s another thing.

But if u just wanna upload it to soundcloud, utube, etc... dont see why the label would not let u share it...

ask the label 1st just to make sure          www.selknamrecords.com.ar | www.soundcloud.com/badajalash | www.facebook.com/badajalash.music

again, I wasn't trying to be funny unless you have a strange type of humour. Mibbe it's just a language thing, the i'net is like that some times. It's all good. Please leave it.

That sounds friggin great MuckyPuh. Good work!
