agreed, I certainly do cut the mix! I'm talking about the bass instrument, not the mix
I'm not even saying don't cut the sub on the bass.
I'm saying that doing it with the edge of a HP filter is arse about tit. it makes infinitely more sense to use a peaking filter, and it makes infinitely more sense still to control the synth filter properly and get enough tops in the first place!
