The guys who started the scene came from other scenes cos they saw potential in psy, but after a few years of dwaf dwaf dwaf and compliments exclusively from drug losers they have seen that psy is not the promised land.

The only people who are left making psy are the ones who peaked at learning how to make a kick sqeauk and bass, not to mention eq, Coz they have no ambition or attitude for success, but plenty of attitude for spiritual self-confidence regarding their contributions of absolute shit. a) people with talent can make great music, in any genre, new or old.
b) not everyone who loves music, decides what kind of style he is going to start producing depending on the financial prospects of making such music. Ambition and/or attitude for "success" is (should be?) irrelevant to the people who simply do it for no other reason than, love.

Having spent many years traveling to many places and meeting thousands of people, am yet to meet one who doesn't want some kind of "success" whether it be simple recognition or to be a million dollar superstar, we all want to achieve our own personal "success"           I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

i think he meant ambition on a musical level, to create something new. not be a name on the next festival line up. anyways.

i found out, that they had no mastering at all.

This is incorrect Townhouse, Tape2Tape and other mastering studios did pretty well out of the Goatrance scene in the 90s. Mixing/mastering techniques and standards were different at that time though and I'm pretty sure some of the mastering engineers let some things through that would have been sent back to the mix stage in other genres.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

The goa spirit will always be inside the trance...
we always go back to the basics.
in most of my tracks you can listen to the goa influence.
so dont go with what everybody says just do your thing.

WORD, same here.
I'll never let the goa feeling disappear from my tracks.
I still feel that in the goa days music was able to put us in a higher place, and a more beautiful one too

Its the whole financial return that feels out of place though, especially when we are talking about a niche underground dance subgenre like psychedelic trance.
Although I like to think that when people are talking about financial success in sucha niche genre, it does not mean buyng a mansion in ibiza, but still, if you your ambition is to make money from making tunes, then psychedelic trance would be one of the last places to look at.

Psytrance has devaluated ? Yes

what it needs? better marketing, better parties, a way do differenciate the shit form the good things.

This scene nedds more snoberish

You're the first person I've seen on here to actually make sense about this. Everyone automatically associates marketing and money with evil. It's the PERSON who has to be evil. If I ever made money from throwing a party or making music, it would just make the parties and music better.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

Too much farting in one post!
Really you are a creative artist! The art of fart!

There are a lot of super talented artists in psytrance…Israeli full on is super quality , French and german producers are mega talented and the UK once I don’t need to mention how quality they are!

So please make us a favorite don’t fart so loud in public , coz we need to smell nice air! there are a lot of creative artists in this scene! But for sure you don’t belong to them.

(gms , electric universe , space tribe , absolum , talamsca , Eskimo , kindzadza , digital talk , vibe tribe , Injection , raja ram , compressor , lost and found , shift…and many many many more….) simply open your eyes , clean your ears , clean your mind then start talking.

Respect to those guys and many more of them that I didn’t mention coz i've no energy to write their numerous names.

*** a tip 4 u: respect other artists!

So Goa Trance is only played in and produced in Goa?

This sounds like the same kinda of snobbery that the middle and upper glasses have with Champagne here in Europe.

Well, technically Champagne can only be called Champagne if its made IN Champagne. Everywhere else its sparkling wine.

Music in genre can be made anywhere.

That was my point. New Zealand for example make some great sparkling wine. But they can't call it Champagne.

People were making Goa here in Britain in the 90's.

Some was pressed to vinvl and was mastered.
