full on would appear to be dead if you listen to newer albums that have Yahel on them

there is like 1 really crappy cheesy album for every 10 good/decent fullon releases           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

Not necessarily.

Even a lot of the underground stuff has turned into total shit. Just because the track is dark psy running at 160 BPM with a rolling bassline doesn't imply the track is the pinnacle of music either. Many times tracks like this lack melody and become boring by the two minute mark.

There is some amazing full-on coming out lately. The genre has really evolved past the more "typical" sounding Israeli stuff of a a few years ago.

Brazilian Full-On is on fire! Acts such as: Life Style, Cosmonet, Waio, 220v, and others are really taking it to a new level.

I'm also digging the stuff coming out of europe on Spun and Phantasm. Acts such as: Biotouch, Animalis, XSI, Mad Maxx, Peacemaker, etc., are really on fire too.

Even Israel has a few new and interesting styles emerging. On Mushy Records, Mojo and Bubble are both developing interesting styles of Full-On that stand apart from a lot of the other stuff.

Also even some of the typically less enjoyed (at least on this forum) full-on guys are moving in new directions. Bizzare Contact, Phanatic, Cosmic Tone, Gataka, and a few others still put out really good tunes here and there. Given, sometimes they put out some terrible vocal bombs... but those are becoming far fewer in number lately.

All the full-on is getting more aggressive, harder, and thicker sounding.           http://www.soundcloud.com/djKAHN

The Compilation "Morphing Psyche" that I just got from the free Ektoplazm netlabel is rather delicious I must say.

Fearsome Engine is british, not brazilian--one of the members is Jeremy Van Kampen aka Laughing Buddha, formerly of Cosmosis!
