Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
I'm currently using Synth1, Tal NoiseMaker and trying to get my head round Greenoaks Crystal. FX are covered by free stuff off Computer Music Mag and Reapers native plugins. wiull definitely have a look at the Variety of Sound stuff.
Anyone out there got an example of a track made with freebies I could maybe download to use as a reference?           “Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible.”

These tracks where all made with Logic plug ins and free plugs.

Edit: bassline on Man's Mind is actually MS-20 patch from Trillian. The rest is Logic and free plugs.

Wow, cheers Nectarios. That's definitely answered my question regarding sound quality, thanks. Really like Leader BTW.

Sound quality is not that great, but its not due to the tools used. I learned a lot more regarding production since I did these tunes. These were made 3-4 years ago.

Cheers for kinds words anyway. Hope you get it all sorted.

Peace out.

EXS 24 analog sampler instruments. Don't remember which ones, they are included in Logic.

This tune has ES2 doing the bassline.

And cheers

Yeah, Logic has now turned into a pretty affordable software, to. And comes loaded with tons of useful instruments, sampler instruments and loops. The later have been used to oblivion, but with some processing - so as to give the sound a personal touch - they're also very good. All of this costs little more then 100€, but only runs on mac.

Yeah, I know! Thinking about building one myself. After spending way to much money with apple.

Here's a great site for those interested:

It's got lists of hardware configurations that have been tested for maximum compatibility, along with software and instructions for installing it
