Im considering in buying a Pulsar system, does anybody know the system and can recommend a good platform that comes with the synths and effects.

Of course, not the most expensive.
Thanks.

It kicks ass! The ASIO driver runs on its DSPs so it's very stable. The synths are FAT (especialy the ones you buy seperately)and the mixer is sooo good. I have managed to sequence, synthesise, mix and record 14 channels simultaneously on my crappy 1.3 GHz PC, it only used 25% of CPU!

I would definately recomend it           Converting VegiNaritarians

- card is excelent. analog output has 0,00% distortion, sound is perfectly clear

- dsp plugs are OK. you can use them from cubase as external efects and they sound very nice. a bit of pain in the ass are separate plugs, mixer and project presets that have to be saved one by one. manual does more damage than good... they should kill the author!

- synths are nice... but even if you have aditional DSP procesors you'll still have a hard time using them with polyphony more than 3 or 4. They actualy made them use more DSP than they would really need so that you can spend more money for more DSP power. So basic synth package is not something you need. Minimonster and VAZ modular 3 are better than any basic SCOPE synth and don't need any DSP power

- mixer is ok but so is the one inside Cubase.

- midi automatition is a pain in the ass. No support for MACKIE or other midi consoles

- they DON'T support dual core CPU or 64 bit CPU

- they charge for software updates!!! Update from Scope 4 to Scope 4.5 is "only" 85 Eur for legal owners of ver. 4.0!!! Outrages...

think again about this card...           "It occurred to me by intuition, and music was the driving force behind that intuition. My discovery was the result of musical perception"

1.its a great card with exelent drivers
2.dsp sure give ya lot of audio power
3.the interface is nice and friendly tho it takes 20 minutes of explanation to understand all u can do with it
4.creamware have problems with alot of motherbords and such.. i know after intel changed to chipset#4 its not match anymore.. so this might be a problem (i have luna in the drawr since it wont fit to my new motherboard)
5.not so much in/out if u dont buy the expension
6.program update,synths.effects - will cost u extra $
7.when it work all oki - no words simply amazing

duuuude

creamware's modular and the adern flexor addition imo blow away the nord mod

-asio, latency, inputs/outputs, routing all rock hard.
- the stock synths as said are "ok", the effects imo are really nice.
- to get the most out of modular and the effects (or even the synths) a luna2 or pulsar is entry level. If you want to get insane with cw get at least a pulsar2 if not a scope profesional. The software package you get varies greatly from a luna to a scope.
