Hello !

Dear Friend ,

None of Psy-Zine is there in Greece !
I dont know any! Only an underground dance music magazine named " Freeze " ( ex-Lemon )which includes lots of genres of music scene reports etc. included psy-trance

Interesting music mags have always had fanatic readers in Greece and ,I guess, everywhere else.
And though a bond with the print will still remain within us for several more years (I hope), I feel that psy mags (a psy mag in Greece for i.e. ) should try haaard to survive. Some popular international music mags that I 've dropped an eye on must almost suffocate from ads!

And the beloved net is almighty and covers the most demanding needs for music info easy n fast and right to your ears and eyes.

If there was a psy mag around here , a serious one , I would buy it and I'd swallow every page of it ( I wonder how many pages would a greek psy mag have!) but I'm afraid it might end up like so many times before
- first issues very cool, followed by less and less interesting ones
- problematic circulation (issues not being available close to their release date)
- you pile them somewhere in your room because you don't want to discard them until you are finally obliged to!
- getting pissed by some editors of cd reviews and stop buying the mag (it has happened yes)
- etc

so psy mag vs net 0-1 ?

(not sure, maybe I'm offtopic abit)

there is "dance photocopy"available is selected spots in athens which include fest info and pics and cd reviews and from times 2 times interesting arcticles but there is no such a thing like a psy-mag
freeze used to b supported only by psy-freaks but nowadays it seems like it tries to boycott trance.maybe it tries to push listeners to other musicwaves?

Well yesterday accidently I was putting together all the Lemon magazines. I still have them all. It was the only alternative dance magazine. Before that, there was the Οξυ and Oz I think. But Lemon made the different.
It was our paper, with the music, the interviews, the free cd, the foto from the parties, Sunrise, Rload and so many more( Life fm period). The last issues were getting bad and there was an opportunity to come back undeground, (the last 3 issues) with new management.( the bluesky fm period). There were the more psychedelic issues with reports from Southafrica festival, closing rave club Amnesia, disk reviews, but it was over that too. The Freeze is ok but not enough.
I'm looking to find the Mushroom magazine. Does any body know something?

CRX I think that guys from Freeze trying to let people to know that trance is much more bigger than the well known trance scene.I don't think that they try to boycott it..Maybe they are searching for unique styles in trance...something difficult in our days..Also they provide us realy good music from their bonus cds like Boshke Beats,Hadshot,Iboga and many others           www.myspace.com/tasos_notrea

tasos without trying to b rude I buy the mag for reading it not hear it!in the last 3 issues the only trance related acrticles were only the presentation of the greek fests an interview with the owner of cosmophilia promoting his company and an interwiew with genetik spin(not my cup of tea)
and as fas as the cd reviews r concerned I c that fellow member haris P. is doing a nice job.
anyway I think that Freeze magazine should respect his fanbase and restore the trance section.
also I'd like to c a new effort concerning electronic music press.I c that here in Greece there are some serious investors. Why don't u give it a try?

oh, gimme a break man.. don't tell me u read Tutti Fruti...
it's the lamest soft-porn mag i've ever seen/read..

Playboy is good

... imo Lemon 'died' because of the uplifting excursion back in those days.. Lemon was indeed the coolest mag Greece could ever have, really supporting, sometimes almost scrumbling the eggs for us...
now with the uplifting wave, i think most readers found Lemon a lil boring.. ? hmm, i never did..
anyway, without having an attention to blame ppl or situations, it's too bad Lemon left us.

on the other hand, Freeze now has the ability to be a lot in the psy scene.. lil prog, lil dark, lil full-on... you don't have to spend 50 pages to support a music genre. 1-2 for me is good..
i don't know why they dont involve... bad thing

Crx first of all thanx for the kind words...about freeze reviews.Secondly having the serious investors make a "trance" orientated magazine on news stands is something more than utopia .
People of freeze -owners of freeze - are people that give us freedom of speech to say what we want and to promote our scene...the fanbase of trance i belive must respect a magazine that till now had offered CDS wITH : flying rhino , Phantasm , Psy harmonics , DRAGONFLY, freeform , NOVATEKK , L.S.D , ULTIMAE , BOSHKE BEATS , phonokol e.t.c...
With many worldwide exclusivities...!
With CDS to follow by : Turbo Trance , USTA , wakyo e.t.c...
I KNOW that the cds might mean 'nothing ' to some of you but worth the money ...!
Ofcourse the psy trance section must be longer and in fact 6 pages at least in the magz...but by letting us having the CD i think that means a lot in supporting a scene.
Freeze is a mainstream magazine and goes to a lot of people out there...but for sure respects trance. Its way difficult to keep almost 40 issues alive at this dayz with an indepdant owner behind , belive me...
personally i will do what i can to make the magz look better and any advise is welcomed ....
belive me personally i might contacted every living trance label owner / artist in the world but some of them thing they are stars...!
psy trance for me is a higher state of living...when i hear the sounds...evolution through sound and spirit......for me support freeze and try to make it better with us...
