Dear Friends
Five days to go for the next visit to Metropolis. Everything is set, tickets have been booked for the visiting artists and some more pieces have been added to the deco. Flyers have been out and about since last week and hopefully we will see many of you next Saturday @ You.
It is important for us to prevent misunderstandings by being transparent and clear about what we do from the outset.
So here’s the deal:
Entry price to the party has been set at 20E. Half of this goes to the owner. The rest of it goes towards covering expenses. By expenses I mean the artists’ fees, their accommodation, meals transportation etc, the cost of deco and the cost of promotion. For a small party (250 attended our last event) it means that we gain as much as we need to cover expenses. We would like to keep it as simple as it is and that’s why there is no massive promotion for our events as we intend to keep our guests to a maximum of 350-400 people.
We do not have any share in what the club makes at the bar. We are aware that drink prices @ You are ridiculously expensive but there is not much we can do about. We will talk again with the owner to see if we can lower the price at least for water which is currently charged 5euros. We suggest however to bring a small bottle of water with you and then ask the bar staff to re-fill it for you. Surely the financial deal with You is not the best but it remains a very hospitable venue and we feel that it’s worth a few compromises.
Once again we would like to remind that use of illegal substances will not be permitted in the club. Last time the security was really friendly but we really don’t want to test their patience. So once again please be extra careful with drugs and do not bring or consume them at the party.
We are planning to keep this party until 9:00. Provisional line-up:
12:00 – 02:00 Stratos - Candyflip Recs
02:00 – 05:00 Vassilis - Irrational Impulse
05:00 – End Banel - Iboga Recs
