THE-ORACLE u r sad. 5Meo-Geo has a very harsh way of speech but his idea was pretty clear - Real artists do what they do from an urge to do it. It is personal, very personal thing. Lots of emotions involved here. If the artist is writing music to satisfy his listeners as a main idea behind his music then it is more prostitution then art I guess. And there are more than a few ppl in the scene pimping that prostitution.

until now u agree just with those say its all copy so it ok.
i wish u to try make something no one ever heard before it might be intresting since u know technics of work and got good ear.
its just that u need to develope more "unique" style in my opinion.may be more ideas into it, i can understand if u dont agree.. but thats what i think.
and the-oracle.. if u want to messure art with money i believe u are like my parents.nothing to say to them or to you on that subject.
ohh.. and i also dont give a shit who likes my music.
but some do
and im happy that i could contribute to their enjoyment.
it isnt my goal tho. i do it just cause thats what i like.

tsabeat, i dont think that anyone supports copycats, imho copycats should be avoided. For example I used to get exited by every new track by psycraft but since they started copying Astrix (3rd album)... I couldn't care less about their music.

I'm not sure where I mentioned money, money wasn't on my mind and in my opinion got nothing to do with this argument.
It's beyond me how can an artist no care about what people think about their music... I doubt many people who say that really mean it.
Artist dont make music only for themselves, it their creation and art but in the end every artist want people to like their track/creation.

well oracle i can only say that i allready know what "they" gonna like.
i can copy astrix/skazi/u name it.
but its cheap in my opinion (probably got that  )
so i try to make something new and intresting.
and its not meen that pplz like it less. so far i can only say they do like it. but if not i would never change even 1 sound in it.

I don't care whether the listeners "understands" what I try to tell with my music nor do I care if they like it or not. If they do, I just take it as a huge bonus as I make music as "therapy" - the creation process is a necessary (rather said compulsory) output for me. If I cannot have it I'll go crazy and run on the walls.
Let's make another scenario related to this one. What if a painter started to do pictures with the intention of making as many people as possible liking em. I think I have a brief idea what that's called...
