Can you open it up and let it dry out inside that way?

If it's been in a washing machine then the hard drive might have got broken by the vibration - is it replaceable?           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

you can get the hard drive replaced by contacting apple support. they are actually very helpful here in the US. but dont tell them what happened, it may void a warrenty.           The IsraTrance MySpace Group:

My new phone (with .mp3 and everything) vibrated off my bedside table and straight into a glass of water on the floor...
It was on, with the power cable still attached...

BUT i pulled out the cable, took out the battery and let it lie on a radiator for 2 days until there was no water behind the screen...

and guess what... now it works perfectly           www.myspace.com/beat_nik

if you tried to turn it on when it was wet, chances are it won't work.

another water vs electronics story....i once was phoning with my old shitty (non-water-resistable) siemens in the pool when some bloke came and pushed me under the water...i was rather amazed that i could still hear the guy on the phone underwater and he c ould hear me...this siemens phone still is with me and i will keep it forever!

however, i'm very sorry izik, hope you'll find a good solution!

I once put my cellphone in the washing machine and it worked afterwards. I also left my Evolution MIDI keyboard in the rain for a whole weekend and it worked afterwards aswell. But both times I didn't turn it on until I'd hairdried it for about a week.

I think as long as you don't try turn it on while it's still wet you're fine. As soon as you turn in on it sends a current through the wires and it shorts the circuits.

Sorry man.

heheh that's classic! i also dropped a bottle of beer on my laptop once..fortunately i was quick to react, i turned it upside down turned it off n put it in front of a heater that blows hot air..didn't turn it on for two days..then when i finally did it worked fine except for two keys on the keyboard which didn't work but they were fine in a week as well..

Now i'm really paranoid about liquids next to my music equipment i never put it on the same table..           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic
