E-Bay is not that good, and very expensive.
I was told I could buy an iPhone on the Apple Store without a AT&T contract, anyone knows anything about that? Anyone has bought an iPhone thru the Apple Store?

Yes. Its possible without contract from At&t at any Macstore.
If your still in the Bay Area, the Mac Store on Market has plenty to sell.

Just not possible, I asked it in 3 Apple Stores already.
A friend told me it would be possible in the Apple [/b]online[b] store.

I also couldnt find the new 3G iphone without a contract from AT&T (neither retail or online Apple store or any other store that is into mobile technology) so i just had to use a contact of mine in New York to get one for 250 dollars and i am waiting for it in the next couple of days.The street price (with a contract) is 200 bucks.
Also i will need an extra 70-80 bucks to make it work for Greece because my friend told me that some codes need to be broken or something.
Most people say that this phone sucks but its relatively cheap and i wanted to try it out anyway because i got curious watching all those people in Asia waiting all night so that they could buy one in the morning.Weird Japanese people LOL.

You can't buy Iphone without contract.
Iphone price without contract is 600$ for 8gb and 700for 16 gb,but they don't sell it yet.
In Europe I think you can but Iphone without contract:
Italy: 499 8gb and 569 16gb
Swiss: 520 8gb and 620 16gb
And they also sell it in HK:
600 hk dollar 8gb and 700 hk dollar 16gb |

The iPhone is overrated, and the whole at&t thing is just stupid..they would sell so many more if they didn't do that.
IMO, if you want a toy, get a toy..it's not very functional as a cell.
