I way, way prefer Android to iOS - but I'd be willing to drop fat $$$ on an iPad solely for music performance. I have an iPod Touch and the synth/MIDI apps are seriously incredible. Unfortunately there's too much latency with Android.

Oh and yeah Chemogen I totally agree...I vastly prefer android's OS to iOS - but the iOS latency and the apps along with the iPad price just..yeah. No contest for music.
