In this video we talk about the Apple iPad versus the Novation Launchpad versus the Monome - in a topic as old fashioned as 16 step sequencing. The video is not so much about the sequencing as such, but about the different form factors, the haptic and the used software of the three candidates in the comparison. My favorite is the iPad for now, as it offers a minimal footprint with maximum possibilities. From a "touch" perspective and coolness, the monome wins, whereas the Launchpad gains momentum with its budget friendly approach. Go make some music! modul8or
What's new in 1.2:
- iPad support.
- Customisable colours.
- Adjustable size and position of the virtual vinyl platter.
- Pitch slider now displays the pitch offset.
- Improved responsiveness of scratching.
- Further minor optimisations.
Tonetable is an application for DJs who want to control their digital vinyl system from their iPhone or iPod Touch.

Korg iElectribe v1.1 Update
The iElectribe iPad app has been updated with some cool new features, and our iPad has gained a very useful protective cover from Incase. For more information, please visit www.korg.com
S1 MIDI Trigger is a midi controller for drums and any instruments (like TriggerFinger or PadKontrol.)
If you can not play the instruments, don't worry! Because S1 is very simple operation that only tap some pads then play a simple sound or 'a cord.'
This application needs 'DSMI Server (http://dsmidiwifi.tobw.net/)' and midi host application. If you don't have DSMI server then download it from official site.

IDX-16 is a application that allows users to manipulate sounds into patterns. It includes pre-made beats, samples and editable drum kits. It was developed by: A. Todman, who is mostly known as the artist named Insight. (http://www.insight.fm)
Insight is an MC, DJ, and Producer who believes that doing what other artists have done is too easy. He put his knowledge of audio to the test by developing the software used to create his music. The IDX was a fun way for him to combine his production and programming skills into an interactive experience. Beats included, such as ‘Hi Piano’ were released on vinyl years ago.
This application is another way to enjoy or manipulate instrumentals, and not a complete music creation environment. Depending on how creative you are, you can still make great beats with it. Check out the videos online for some examples. When Insight has time, more features will be added. Hope you enjoy.

Here's a short 'How to use it' guide with no words - just watch and learn. And with an added twist - this isn't just a 'How to use it' video, it's a personal challenge. Like scaling Everest, but using just your fingers. Maybe not quite like scaling Everest to be honest, but - just like the previous 'Strawberry Fields for Ella', I set myself the following challenge - can a total non-pianist have a shot at probably the most iconic Mellotron song ever (as opposed to the most iconic Mellotron intro ever!) using just one finger and the M3000's chord pads.
See what you think - the solo isn't quite right, but honestly, you have no idea how many takes I had to do to get it this close. Next time I want to make a video, I am renting me a pianist. And maybe some dancing girls too.
