theres a missing word there -> "comparatively"

in any case koalakube since i dont have a problem with you not liking our musicand i dont see why you should have a problem with us not liking orbital more the FSOL or not liking them at all..

to be honest i dont really care what you or anyone else likes or dislikes and im pretty sure that i dislike 90% of the things you do like... so fucking what? grow up dude...

Shulman,I never said I dont like your music.
But defining "pale" orbital....well,whatever.

If there is a missing word, well balem it to the person who wrote the interview.
My statemnet stands as consequence to what I read.

I think the one who need to grow up here is you for using f word related to me expressing my opinion.

Or am I to blame because I prefer Orbital to your music?

it's all about taste!.....but you said that Shulman can't write a track as Orbital.....this is really stupid (no offense)
first of all.....orbital it's just a name......and extremlely over hyped name!
second.....i'm not going to write a review here about orbital.....but his music sounds the same all over the years.....especially when his tracks sounds like repetative and not creative crappy sample cd loops.

can you show me where is in orbital's tracks playing original zourna, ney and eastern bowed instruments compositions ?........i don't think so

guys i really don’t want this to turn into an orbital vs shulman thread and i want to apologize to koalakube if i offended him because that wasn’t the purpose of my post... the only point i wanted to stress is that although i am an artist I’m still entitled to my own opinion and i have the right to express that opinion without being criticized for it if it collides with other members taste. And I didn’t really understand why was his need for the personal flaming on his part.

The whole point of the question was not to decide who is better: fsol or orbital. The point of those questions and the interview is to shed some light on my personal taste and feelings. The fact that I like something or dislike something has nothing to do with the quality of it. it’s nothing more than my own personal taste and therefore the fact that I like something or doenst like it says alot more about ME than on the subject itself. There is no good or bad music. there’s only the subjective perception of taste of the listener that gives music its power.

The funny thing about this entire forum (and other music forums) is that while you think you discuss about music you actually discuss about your selves and your own personal taste nothing more, nothing less.

Therefore the whole discussion is pointless.

It isn't pointless, it's the whole point of a community- ppl who share interests getting to know each other.

That's also how I find use in ppl reviews and posts here (and everywhere), I get to know the people, and then follow the posts/opinions of the ones I connect to.

And back to the subject, I really liked that interview- I learned new things about Yaniv as an artist and person, which says something about how good the interview was, as I know him a little ;-)
I'm really happy with www.psybient.net, they really take the music seriously and with depth there, something that was a little lost lately. Hope to read more soon.
