The variety of English slang used all over the world is a very interesting subject to me. I've noticed that many of you say 'respect', 'killargh' and 'boom'. Most of it is obvious, but what does 'boom' mean?

In US, we say 'awesome' and 'the shit' (the best). Of course, hip hop is also invading our language (for good or for worse) so that 'tight', 'crunk' and 'bomb' (all mean very good) are also entering our vocubalary.           Kent
