Oh comon guys even here u try to make it sound so cheap?
I think this guy done a lot to electronic music in Israel and he is damn talented, and those that think that this is MTV music, so make a track like this, I dare you.. heh so much envy around...
Jonathan good luck your talent is finally recognized I hope you will get even more appreciation in the future

Didn't mean to make it sound cheap, full respect to the man, but still i hold my opinion about this specific song, didn't impress me at all, but then again, its a matter of taste.

this is not about dissing the artist... the specific song is not quite what i'd expect to win something of this magnitude - that's all.
Jonathan is an awesome producer and no one said otherwise.
on that note I'll have to tell you something in the local slang: "exit the movie"

Trip- for once it could be nice to hear from you just oh yeah man great achievement! Somehow I missed it in your post, or was I blind? I am not really into movies surely not about irrelevant things such as this.. but the topic itself could take u out from the grumpy mode to give a positive feedback to the guy that probably reads this thread.
About the topic itself, well it is not new that artists create ground breaking music and then to win the prices or public attention they need to make something more shallow and simple - is that really new?

I Don't know why you c in Jonathan's music something like Mtv songs. Does he has tits and ppl write music 4 him?
He has talent that only few ppl have, quality and originality that's what he has in his music. I've been impressed by his work since the first VV Album.
I would consider myself lucky to see his live show.

Even if it's not new, is it something to ignore? I chose not to ignore and still pointed it out. Honestly, it surprises me each time it happens.
Nevertheless, I say positive things about many artists' music, J.views being one of them right in this thread - and unfortunately I'm being acccused of envying and being grumpy (ps: @Nathan, you generalized it when I only was talking about that specific song that has won).

Trip, just Mtv and J.Viewz in one sentence doesn't make sense to me & imho its unjustified to say it even about this song, that's all. But taste is subjective I guess.

I wish J gets into MTV and much more people will know his music and enjoy it. As long as he doesn't make "I'm the superviza" kinda crap and makes great pop music with international standards he does a great job.
There are people that make great, emotional, commercial music. Being locked in a ghetto of 10 000 people and limiting yourself and your music is not the way. Neither does remixing (raping) classics and putting cheesy guitar riffs.
Should we go through the Pink Floyd example again?

If we'll not point out things like he wrote it in this ad, the whole forum will look like the party promotions section- "killer party" "kol hakavod" "you are the best".
Respect to Jonathan, way to go for winning this award.

Heh what like balancing this ad with negative approach? Why just cant say hey man good on you that after working so hard, and minimum appreciation of local trance / psy scene, u still break thru... Does it really matter that the break thru he made with a song of lesser stature then his previous work, or maybe, just maybe what is really important is that Johanthan actually has made a huge leap forward for him personally and for Israeli electronic music generally, getting good reviews from artists such as the judges of this tournament?
I agree on the fact that he got much better tracks, but this is SMALL FRIES.

It all depends on what the man is trying to achieve.
IMO an artist can be respected as considered as a good artist without all the "awards" and "prizes" involved in it, but if thats what he's out there for then good for him.
You (yuli) haven't won any award (AFAIK) but still you are a very well respected artist in the trance scene, does it matter if you get some kind of paper/statue that tells you you achieved something with your music?
I don't think it matters, cuz the trance music was considered just as noise and electro-bullshit to most of the world untill it went slowly up and ppl started appreciating it, i think artists in this scene know that world appreciation isn't exactly what they're in this for. But i guess its always nice to be recognized 
Anyway- I believe every opinion should be shown on this/any ad, without being attacked by the other ppl on the ad, we all agree that Jonathan deserves this award and we all respect him as an artist, but still i don't think it should be forbidden to say our true opinions about this song that won this award.

Ben-G I am sorry to tell u that altho it is very nice to be part of your example it's very frustrating working like a mule sacrificing a lot in life and sell 2000 CD's... We are not getting younger and those of us that believe that music is their calling in life sooner or later have to make the compromise and go for wider crowd. It is not called a sellout btw.. If my country would benefit artists like some other countries do, maybe the situation was different... So generally ( I dont see too much commercialization in the tune that won the prize ) I prefer someone like Johnathan make more 'Poppy' style songs then someone that does it from the start if u know what i mean.
And if we must go back to Pink Floyd then without the famous The Wall movie most of us would'nt know that Piper @ The Gates Of Dawn ever existed.

well, same here... didnt realy liked the winning tune, kindda boring
yuli, you are upset bcoz jonathan won some prize and the forum is not going all putzi mutzi just bcoz he reads it?... sounds absurd somehow
sure he deserves all the luck in the world and a big congrats... just like every 1 that won someting
every talent should be rewarded for his talent, and there are TONS of talents out there... only now it was jonathans turn

Yossi I have red your response, wrote a reply, deleted it, decided that u r not worthy of reply but one sentense I might spare -
There are TONS of talents out there and there are the ones that are REALLY talented out of those TONS Yoss, and when one of them succeeds somehow to break thru, I am happy for him, a feeling that it seems to me some ppl on this forum are not able to generate and that's a pity in my opinion.
