2 osc patch with sync

Osc 1 square
Osc 2 Square sync to osc 2

osc 2 No key follow on pitch
Velocity to Mod Env.
Mod Env to Osc 2

Add distortion and tweek the pitch of the second osc

^^this gonna lead to a great sound i can feel it already

i guess square/ saw would work nice too, and with osc that follow key tracking too, as more basic hardsyncro patch . with fm on top.. gonna turn on my synth to see where it s going

guys do you have tips on drone coming out of a usual subtractive synth, i can bypass the amp envelop on the Xs for a sound that never stop, but from there how i could get started to make psych dark drone ? have to experiment but have no idea from where to start, except using noise and fm..

only flaw i see is that theres no attenuation to control the cv signal when patching

but its definately got recursive modulation written all over it

have you tried using your square wave at its lowest octave as a gate trigger then playing with the pulse width and tweeking the pitch
and envelopes

watch yer volume as this could get out of
hand

this should also give you a kind of buchla bongo if you have the amp env on and attach the lowpass to it and play with the pwm

would love to get my hands on one of these

but i bought a ti2 instead what a numpty

gonna try this.

there is vcas for controlling modulations btw, but not sure its what you mean . you can set the internaly routed modulation to external and then use the corresponding amount control
get one these are fun i have seen some good deals second hand ,it will be a futur classic like their 777 that cost already double the price second hand than what i seen it few years ago.. with it using the phatty filter for smoother warmer sound might be nice, the original filter is kinda agressive .

it make me think to try a feedback loop haven't experimented with this but it could be useful for dirty drone

was very close to go eurorack too.. but got the xs insteed to get the basics covered with good price ratio.. but if i expend it i could maybe resell it once i get enought module to buy more.. i could have wait more and go directly euro rack but it s ok... the Xs is really good already but for me the holy grail, is ever vintage synth like pro one tb 303 sh 101 for classic sounds or the euro rack world for high quality modern analog sound .
though in modular there is some really good vintage sounding modules but i think in other format, not much in euro rack,i love mos lab and blacet sound.

the moslab are moog modular clone , what a great vintage sound, vibe from the 70s, making psychedlic music with this..with that sound from the 70s, for me it s true psychedelic sound caractere in all is glories

Brilliant sound, but getting a modular is expensive enough...going down a route where you only have expensive modules as an option is even harder.

The Eurorack format has both cheap and very expensive modules to choose from. You can buy some expensive Livewire modules for VCOs and VCFs...you can buy MacBeth for Eurorack...and then you have all the nice cheap ADSRs, LFOs, Mixers...etc. modules from Doepfer to fill up the case and get some great sounds. The MicroMac is available in Eurorack format by the way.

Maggot Brain is an amazing display of guitarwork recorded in one take. With an opening monologue that sets the tone in this funk psychedelia, Eddie Hazel, supposedly told by George Clinton who, under the influence of LSD, told Hazel to play the song like his mother had died and to play the second half as if he had found out she was alive.

The MacBeth MicroMac is not a good Moog clone. It sounds better than a Minimoog

i like macbeth sound, but so far the caractere from the samples haven t make me feel the little magic thing that really touch me like on mos lab but it s very close.
i find it strange moog themelf are not able to nail their vintage sound with the voyager it s probably cause it would cost more dunno..or it s maybe not even possible.. but mos lab is close enought for me it make me think to expand the xs with this so i can stick to 1/4 jacks, also i dont like to have empty racks , buying a system that is alraedy finished might be a better solution for me ,with euro rack i might end up selling my car or get trouble with my bank lol too much cool modules.. and it start to really grow so it would go even worst for budgets

I know what you're talking about. But damn this thing sounds much better than the Phatty...judging from the samples.
Leaves it standing in terms of modulation options, and has 3 VCOs with FM and ability to detach VCO 3 from the keyboard tracking.

if it was not that expensive i would have picked it to pair with my Xs and probably be done with analog synths.. but the price wow. it s sure quality and it look so well made, these synth will maybe cost a fortune in 15 years
he is working on a new one with a keyboard btw but it s gonna cost way more.

the moslab system 8 cost 1400, less feature but sound is in same ballpark, a bit more vintage i think
