We are hosting a weekend-long outdoor neurotrance festival
in Asheville, NC on the weekend of Aug11th at a spectacular
1000-acre venue! (see www.deerfields.com)
Here is our vision:
An intimate weekend for those who appreciate neuro/trauma trance to
gather and enjoy this specific genre. Although the lineup has not yet
been set we are currently negotiating with several well-known artists.
This is a cooperative, non-profit event with limited attendance. If you
are interested in donating your time (playing, deco, or vending)

what exactly is "Neuro/Trauma" trance? I've never heard of this style before.... care to name a few artists which fit this musical style? Deerfields sounds fucking great tho

The chill during the day sounds nice, but there will be no buildup? Just chill straight into neuro/traumatrance the rest of the time?

Within the neuro trance style there are many artists that incorporate the more melodic sounds that are great for early evening and morning sets....Yes there will be a nuild up within that genre of trance....nobody likes to be be shot from chill to full on dark neuro...
Some artists I would refer to are Fractal Cowboys, Penta , Kinzaza (sp?), and some of Baphomet Engines more twisted stuff.....
Whatever you call it in your home town please join us if you like it DARK at night and mellow during the day!!! |

Build up and chill-down are essential to proper flow, imo. Doesn't have to be cheese, though - there's plenty of super-psychedelic upbeat but not too overpowering music for those hours.
Would love to come to this one, will see if I can.

Unfortunately this is not the annual Goa Gil party....the venue was not available this year BUT rest assured that we have secured the venue for 2007 already ;-) |
