My friend was willing to bet he was so sure of this... I know I should have made him bet something utterly silly because Im pretty sure im right.

In regards to the interchill 12" release of Han - Dakini

He insists that Dakini is on there as Dakini Records and that Dakini is a affiliate of Interchill, I insist that it is a coincidence and though Gio of Makyo has tracks on Interchill this is completely unrelated. Who is right or are we both off our rockers?

cheers,
kris

Well there is something like a partnership (I think I prefer "friendship" in this case) between Interchill and Dakini..

I've recently ordered the first Nada Masala compilation, and both logos appear on the cover.

P & C Interchill Records. Under exclusive license from Dakini Records.

I dunno really if it's answering to your question.. (hope I understood well what you were dealing with..)

cheerz           .

i agree with KakoOlalaJwal.

same thing with the ishq album. i think
it was 1st released on interchill and later
on on dakini (or was it the other way around? ...hmmh ). so they have some kind
of exchange/friendship thingy going on...

they're separate labels that have entered into licensing agreements to release certain material in different markets in the past.           dub beautiful collective

Whatever, It's good that they are spreading the music
by people like my friend Gio Makyo ...
surely one of the most under-rated chillout artists!

Ishq is something special as well - looking forward to
playing with him at The Glade festival ....

Quite the other way around actually.
But Maer is right.           ---------------------------------------------

That depends where, I guess...
Here, and in the trance related chillout world, Makyo is one of the most respected chillout artists there is.

He definitely makes some of the most amazing ethnic chills and also some of the most hypnotic and trancey ones.

There's a new remix he did recently to Omar Faruk Takbilak & Steve Shihan, which is definitely worth waiting for, and he's working on the 4th Makyo album, which is a joy as well, though it would probably take time. Good things come to those who wait...           ---------------------------------------------
