Alien C... our conversation with greg did of course include general terms which both he and i were happy with at the time.

we were aware of several labels with prior interest in dub sahara and spectralite and it seemed to make most sense to me for us to wait for these projects to proceed since they were much further advanced than our simple discussion. i.e. music written and produced.

if/when that happens then greg and i may be in a position to revisit the idea and see whether what we previously discussed is still of interest. we'll have to wait and see.

i don't know what the hold-up is for the current material and like you i hope that there'll be some album releases. someone closer to greg and whose ears i respect did tell me that the unreleased archives contain some amazing material.

in the meantime i'll be looking forward to the new dakini compilation. check greg's myspace too for an amazing tune.

Andrew just gave us all the info we wanted regarding greg.

well i dont know about that,we got info relating to interchill and greg, and the pretty strange affair where greg didnt make use of the offer to release something, up till now at least, but it certainly doesnt give me ``all the info i want regarding greg,`` i dont expect andrew to be able to do that, only what he knows in relation to his label and mr hunter.
i`m still BLOODY curious as to why greg never gets anything released anywhere, chillcode offered him a release, i believe youth would definitely put something out, probably twisted to, they were penned to do the spectralite project, god knows what other labels have shown greg interest beyond our awareness, thanks anyways andrew, and i will check the solitary trak on gregs newly reformed myspace, although last time i looked <very recently> it was a tune from absolutely ages ago ,ie `number readers`.
still perplexed .

nb
i just find it frustrating/odd et al, that we have such a great UK talent that doesn`t get material released out there.
i wonder if gets offered enuf money, or he wants to sell his own stuff direct, like more and more artists these days?

they deleting (and even changing posts) like maniacs.
not a surprise since the name of this forum starts with ISRA.
and they only know how to kill ppl who are without defense.
I really hope to get banned this time
I will not write here anymore since I boycott anything related with israel.

Yes! I love the old "This is my last time I write here!" forum member post that almost always gets followed up by the contradictory next post. BUT, this time it's just propaganda trying to get me to see a "side" and there are none for me. Maux, do me a favor and don't send me personal messages of this stuff, mmmmkay?

Peace to the planet.

Of course they are. Because they are offensive, offtopic and go against our guidelines.
Why some ppl have to dirty every discussion that involves Interchill with all this stupid fighting.

Please stick to the topic, or I'll delete your posts, I don't want to lock this thread. It's an intersting one for most ppl here, and because of the music. Thanks.

Anyway, thanks for the info Andrew, I'm really waiting for Umberloid myself.

music is what counts here. i agree that it should not be the place to air personal disagreements with other artists or sadness at current events. music is what connects us to each other - in ways that not many other topics could.

for lovers of greg hunter's music i did find out that there is a process of collecting material into an album ongoing somewhere . patience will be rewarded - though not this year i'd guess.

with Umberloid...
Ott has the highest respect for Chris Barker's musical ability and he seems genuinely excited about the material they are creating. he's even mentioned making a ska tune. i'm looking forward to the unexpected. there's no previous amazing first album or existing sound to live up to.

liquid stranger...
the new material does reference dub step in some tracks, and the new album is likely to be closer to his live sets than his first album the invisible conquest which was more of a bass drenched dubby home listening album.

gaudi has a new album - though not coming out through us. i'm really looking forward to this release and the material comes close to the energy and vibe he brings with his dub n breaks sets.

ashtech has also collaborated on the meditronica album which is being released on rare noise in march.

more music updates in a bit...
