Soumds nice, digital but in a rippy as fuck kinda way,,,,

i think become snob but i cant stand digital fm anymore, personally i think the stregnth is for modulating other stuff or for using wavetable modulation for soundscape and drones and maybe fx , haven tchecked these demo on mintor though , maybe it sound great |

Problem is when they dk digital to sound analog, never works
But fm wise surely gives a highly stable source of modulation
Shappeshifter swas awesome at this bug fell down at the fact it sounded too clean , hence it stuggled to sound good through a filter,
Another point that valid is the amount of functionality you can get from a single osc,,,,,

Surachis hitting that osc with some serious fucked up modulation, complex waveforms and random stuff, not a greatdemo of what it can do really,
But the tone and harmonics that its putting out are what grabbed me

i enjoyed the Shappeshifter patchs u made but when i lisetened i was wondering and thinking a similar pacth with a analog osc would have sounded better , the patch yo made reminde me of aalto , is there something similar analog in euro rack ? it s inspired from buchla if i m right? that could be good for that type of patch , maybe with dpo . i felt the digital caractere was not best suited for these sound even if it sound not bad at all

Dpo into an optomox, get you aalto buddy
These days im really feeling the verbos complex osc, bot a lot more teeth, find the dpo doesnt have pure enough waveforms to get high end sounding fm like I get from the rubicon,

what do you think about selling dpo and make it with intelljel module, with ufold 2 ,dixie 2 , rubicon, Umod 2 .. that would open even more flexibilty...could be a good option...that was my dream eurorack..
verbos look really intresting too if u can try it.. |

Lol, actuallynwas just think7ng bout selling the dpo for another sto and a u fold2 (impressed the hell out of me on the shapeshifter)
But then remembered , all those attenuators, the internal busses and those dam sine waves,
Plus the massive square wave and the mewelly discovered x lock( finally got it working with using different gate lengths to suit pitch)
As for ring mod, im using a triple bipolar vca from wmd thats almost as versatile as maths in a different respect,
3 ring mods all with vca style patching, audio mixer, signal inverter offset, cv mixer , 3 vcas
Im in two minds,,,,,,,,,
But yeah, two oscs, wavefolder,mixer, bunch of vcas

i have the wmd triple biolar moxer
its a fucking awesome module. 3 ring mods.or fades. Or vcas. Or mixer and so on
tbh i think its a bit of a waste of time buying a eurorack compressor....after all you can make one with an inverted env with an offset so it closes from the top down.
but wmd got some nice stuff
might be worth waiting a wee while as toppo brilo got some game changing modules in the works.....love evrytbing they do

yes maybe wast of space to buy the compressor, i haven t seen the price...but there is good chance it smoke plugins..
the avatage is to use the compressor right after the osc when using wave table to even the volume it can be usfull , or to shape dynamic and coloring drums , leads , bassline ect..
depend it sound great on or not..
if it s on the league of a rack unit like a distressor or api2500 it would be a bargain |

Itll definately smoke plugins, theres a few optical limiters in eurorack as well,
Use my optomix as one as well. Not what youd expect
Vactrols are really good for natural shapes short attack , long decay
Im quite fancying the alm busy circuits pedal module, time to start looking at guitar comp stomps,
Got a good local shop that will let me try things out at home,
Mmmm.......dude you got me thinking
Always looked at solving the problem you mentioned bout with waveshapers and gentle saturation, or clipping
But somethings drawing me to the solution through a different process............
