Right, impressive patches in terms of modulation and sequencing. But the actual sound did not do something to me. Its not bad at all...just not what I would like to hear.

24MHz internal signal processing rate , a nord or a virus probably run at 96khz.. this thing have very low digital artifacts
The Shapeshifter runs most of its operations at 25MHz. The wavetable is read to a fast SDRAM on powerup, and the SDRAM is clocked at 100MHz. So it was easiest to have the FPGA PLL spit out a 25MHz clock for everything else. The Audio DAC and ADC also run off the 25MHz clock but this is divided down in the DAC/ADC chips by a factor of 256 to give the input and output audio sampling rates of 97.65KHz (rounded up to 98KHz for promotional purposes).

Most of the demos are straight oot the box,
Once you get a bit of processing, ie filter and such itll kick ass
Plus you get the privelege of constant tracking
My mates selling his dpo to get this
So ill be back with some samples hopefully in a few weeks
Im reall interested myself but aint got the room
Time to 9u I think,
Pm if your wanting specific demos, and dont take the piss, like every preset and such,(im joking of course id be glad to, but ill scroll through them at audio rate,,, lol)

for drones and soundscape, probably the dream module...but i bet it rox for usuall digital fm leads and many other stuff you would reach for a wavtable synth like a waldorf |

No doubt soon someone will find the perfect filter and vca combo and a new psy sound will drive evryone nuts trying to
Recreate it
Also its worth thinking bout it as a modulation source which will impart its qualiy onto an analog oscilator like a malekko uncle
Or a dixie or such
I love the thought of random patching throuhh an optomix mmg combo
Plus every synth kinda sounds shite until you put a touch of delay or reverb so this will sound real smooth
Got enough analog oscs at the moment and would see this as a definatee step in a different direction
Intellijel got almost as many modules asdoepfer
Nuts, he even did a 2hp oscillator with multiple wave outs and 1v/oct.......guys a maschine
