When someone asks me why i listed mostly to Trance music, one of my answers is. "its more intelligent music. sophisticated..." at this point he laughs and say " how boom boom umtza umtza can be intelligent???"..... i know that i am not the only one who thinks that Trance is more intelligent. More than pop or rap. snobbish? maybe. but i don't know how to explain why it smarter.
do u know?

You can't cause it's not. For every mediocre and unintelligent Psy tune i can find you a very intelligent Rap tune. Sorry, it's ridiculous. Like the wise guys say: Dig harder. There's good and "intelligent" music everywhere.

in my opinion...
youre friends are feeling the need to defend their favored styles of music by insulting trance because you used the word "intelligent". they feel you are calling their music "stupid" or something.
try using a different word. like, it's more "interesting" or something. just find a less harsh word. The IsraTrance MySpace Group:

Less than 5% of the music comin outta the psytrance world today is 'intelligent' and a strong proportion is 'chill'. Dont tie urself down with psytrance.. there are great Break beats, asian massive, classical and trip hop producers around..
