Intellectronica is back with more delicious twisted beats! Experience a cross-pollinated assortment of electro, progressive and psy bee bopping beats at a very creepy crawly edition of Intellectronica, Saturday 5th of November at Geddes Lane, CBD.

Leading the hypnotic cicada chorus, Spark Occurrence proudly presents Schwa, co founder of Tribal Vision Records, Czech Republic. Regularly causing a commotion both in the Czech Republic and throughout Europe, Schwa’s funky psygressive sound has resulted in a particularly massive following through out Germany, Spain and France. Collaborating with Slater, Schwa has produced compilations Urban Legends, Limelight and more recently the highly successful Inner Circle (debuted and currently at No.1 at Psyshop.com for the last four weeks!). I recently ventured up to Sydney to meet up with Schwa. He assures me he’s got some VERY special things planned for us! I’ve been following his career and was very delighted to hear he was traveling to Sydney for a short English course. After joining Tribal Vision, Schwa soon launched and still performs weekly at Biocross, his elecro/psytrance night in Prague’s Cross Club. It seemed very fitting to have him play at Intellectronica!
With a sound so incredibly varied, Schwa mixes up a slick and heady cocktail of electro, progressive and psytrance. Strictly not just trance or progressive oriented, he combines electro sounds that progressively flow like psy, from deeper-tribal-prog with electro and breaks elements to nasty electro-clash with pop and trance elements.
You’ll also catch Madam “Toupee” Butterfly verses slinky spidy Not Happy Jan (Meccanoid) for the ultimate homegrown electro mash up. Earlier this year, this good cop/bad cop pair was featured on Triple J’s mix up and more recently on Triple R’s Beats Electric program. They always produce a unique, dynamic and highly danceable performance!
Our very own Doctor Dragonfly, Spyke will add the rockin’ goodness, committing all kinds of mischief behind the decks while blending the finest electro.
Closing out our insect symphony, Coomzy AKA Coombaya (Tribadelic) will be taking us on a twisted and phat journey of psychedelic kaleidoscopes.

Grab your bug spray and get your six dancing legs in early to catch the nose-scrunching electro from 10pm. We’ll be kicking off the progressive and psy tunes after 3am.
