Luke Shamanix
Melbourne based DJ Luke Shamanix was first exposed to outdoor psytrance gatherings during the summer of 96-97 at earthcore and green ant forest parties. Luke was impressed and moved by what he had experienced, and set about collecting much of the music that inspired him over the years to follow, before playing his first gigs in 1999 at underground forest activist parties and at club nights such as Velocity.
Since then he has played at and helped to organise numerous forest gatherings, along with DJing at many larger club and outdoor events.
He has also collaborated with pioneering Australian trance label “Weird Music Society Records”, both as a DJ and event organiser.
Recently Luke collaborated again to form 'Unconscious Monkey' bringing South African master Artifakt to Australia for the outdoor Kerplunk Party.
Prepare yourself for a hard ass psy set that will split your timbers. |
