Hi all,
I have a PC and an USB M-AUDIO sound card plugged in, this weekend I got the SERATO scratch live which is also an USB device but it is not working. A screen pops up saying that there is no suficient bandwith usb.
I have read on the internet and the suggestions I got was to unplug some devices, which doesnt work for me because I need all of them plugged in.
Does anyone have some suggestion about how to solve it?
By the way, does the mac has the same limitation ?
Thanks in advance, any help is welcome.

Can you tell us the secret information about:
1. what motherboard you have
2. which other USB peripherals you use

It's not a PC or Apple related problem.
The problem is that USB2 controller cannot let more than 57KB/s of data flawing.
you can see how many USB controllers Mac Pro has at Apple site.

Dude... check if ur USB is 2.0. Maybe it can be 1.1, and the limitation that u have can be about the version of ur USB.

Maya, the problem is that technical specs of clovisfilho's computer are national security issue, and he cannot disclose it here in this forum.
I guess we need to call our regular mind readers.

Thanks Maya, I will check that too!
bilbobagginz if my computer specification is a national security issue, your lack of good attitude is not...my lack of knowledge is not a national security issue as well and frankly speaking it doesnt bother me at all since I am showing it here and actually, that is why I come here so often.
I was not at my computer when I posted and I was not sure about my motherboard specification...anyways, try to work in your attitude bro instead of trying to play the smart ass here

1st of all, I am not a producer, I'm just a computer geek. In the meanwhile, I produce programs.
As to music, I am now only building up a studio. The moment I'm ready, I'll send you my material, promise. Just pm me your email.
As to badness of my attitude...listen, I am sorry I made you feel bad. but ... I've asked you like several times to tell me the tech spec, something about the computer, and this could save all this course of the conversation, the so called "drama"
So, do you really want to go into this making me feel guilty for a joke I've made ? Was that joke so evil?!?!
I think you maybe think that if we discover you don't know how to tell us specs, we will think something bad about you, well 1st - this is not true. We won't. (well, I - WON'T)
secondly, now, when I understand what made you angry..
The 1st and the easiest way is to simply open up the computer, and look at the labels on the main board (a board, to where all the elements are connected - the graphic card, the disks, the power supply etc. )
Mainboard brands can be: ABit, Intel, Via, ASUS, gigabyte, Leadtek, MSI, etc.
the model of the board is a very apparent code on the board.
you can 1st lookup the board manufacturer, and then to visit their site to see how they name their boards.
Then go back to the board and search for similar name on it.
The 2nd way is:
you can look on your computer's bootup screen
It usually displays some data on it. usually the version of the board is also displayed. you can copy it and look it up with google, so you know for sure it's the name.
Peace!

thing is that if your board only supports USB v.1 it's really bad, and if you want to get more devices, you will have to buy a "USB2 controller"
cheerz. |

An USB device is not very expensive... it`s about R$50, and u will resolve ur problem! But first, check the version of USB.

I wonder what the chances are that the motherboard only has an USB 1.xx connection when his specs are, as he already wrote "a new 4200+ amd athlon 64 x2 2gb ddr2 ram and 320gb hd SATA"
