i just got cakewalk's sonar as an additional host to cubase sx3. before i install all of my plugins twice (once to each program's vst instruments subfolder) i would like to know if there is a better way... is there any way to avoid installing each plugin twice so that i can use it in both hosts? thanks for any insight/tips. |

I don't know how Sonar manages its VST plugs, but I suppose that there must be an option, where you can manually select the folder which contains VSTs.
Using this option you can direct Sonar to use your Cubase SX VST folder, so you don't need to install everything twice.
I'm using Ableton and SX2 this way and it works.
Just my 2p.
