I have just got a Nuendo Audiolink PCMCIA Soundcard. Its been installed into one of the slots on my laptop and the software is installed as well. Problem is, in the control panel it doesn't say anything about A Nuendo Card, but a series of HDSP ADATS is there, with ins and outs. I dont know which one to choose, in the box i was given a whole bunch of wires and I havent used any of them. How do I get this thing working???? |

Yes I did when i rebooted the comp beeped once which means its set up good. I just dont know why its got so many different ins and outs, I just want to disable the exisiting one and enable the Audiolink 96. Theres all that other stuff there and i dont know what to choose from. For all I know i could be hearing the new sound but i cant confirm it. |

remove the old sound card and install the new one in its stead, maybe than it'll recognize it. perhaps this card is not PNP compatible..? |

m8 the whole idea of the PCMCIA is to shove it in one of the slots and not touch the other soundcard. anyways i cant get that one out its attached to the motherboard, and i'll need a really good technician for that. well i'll sort this out. |

if i understand correctly you want to disable your existing suond card on your laptop. What you need to do is first uninstall the new sound card. then go to your device manager. (im assuming you're using windows).. and right click on the old sound card and hit disable. (thats all). it should have a red X through it. Next--> you need to install the new sound card. That should od it. Lastly, go into your sound control panel, and change the output and recording device to the new sound card (sometimes it has the old one even if its disabled). That should do it. |
