Insert and Send...

In the mixer screen in FL Studio, what do the Insert Fx and Send Fx mean?
What happens when you 'insert' an effect and what happens when you 'send' an effect?
I hope you can understand.

...it is simple! it's like sex!
...let's say yo bed is the track.
...the girl is yo audio file
...and when u insert yo pluggin inside her - se feels the pleasure - in means that insert worx fine
...if she is not wet enough u need to give her some drink - after this she is gettin wet and screams more then before = u got the effect! send is workin!

when u use and effect as an "insert" , u actually insert a effect into the original signal path , thus modifying 100 % of the original signal and controlling how much u want to hear the "wet" effect ...
but when u send a signal to a plugin ...u send a part of the original signal , controlling the sent signal with the send control and have it return on a return channel ... thus later u can further apply fx to the return channel ... like eq , phaser to a reverb return .. that u cant do with a insert plugin ...
so basically this is the difference ... i dont know if i have been able to explain my self properly ...
again inserts and sends both can be pre / post fader ... |

Send effects are mostly used for two reasons.
The first is to save processing power because you can use the same send effect with more than one track. With insert effects you can only use one effect for one track.
The second is side chainning. |

im no expert, but my comments:
there are certain effects that should be used mostly as an insert effect while there are others that should be used as a send effect...
i do not know exactly which are those FX, maybe some other experts here could help me out...
but finally, remember NO RULES...play around with the insert & send and if you find something u like, use it  |

i like use it like that...
aux1-short stereo selay
aux2-long stereo delay
aux3-dark short verb
aux4-long bright verb
then u can send each one of those to ant channel
praecox u kiiled me here 
p\s - in fruity u have next to each insert effect the amount of it so it can b used as "send" (sound) if reduce to 50%... it might give u a bit chorus... if u like it...
