It took me like 6 mths to sound the bass right. There are no any rule to make a bass. People use cronox, sylnth, VB, trilogy ect. when u know the kick bass combination in ur studio in comparision with big sound system and other sytems, u will make it.
i usually use amp envelop, filter then lots of eq to make it fit with the kick. May be some distrotion and multiband compresion. But that is my way.. u have to find ur own way. |

yes also for me u can come very near to this sound with vb-1, or anyway any other bass built on a saw wave, if using vb-1 just try to cut high freqs so u can ear better how the bass will sound, cause with open highs there's too much clipping in the basic sound of vb-1, make kbbb play with the notes until u find the one u like, and maybe some multiband distortion and compression, also bpm makes the difference here |
