PsyBooty Records kicks off its 2008 release schedule with “I.S.E.P.” by Init String, the first in a string of digital singles and EPs on the label.
Known for their musical diversity, “I.S.E.P.” puts a progressive twist on the Init String sound presenting two tracks fit for outdoor festivals and peak-hour club-land alike. ‘Watching The Rain” is a shimmering morning trance number chock-full of intricate melodies and crunchy guitars, while ‘Bacon Shake” rocks the B-side with down and dirty, funky, chunky psy house. About The Artist
Based in Austin, Texas, Init String (aka Initialization String) has been moving crowds for the last decade since the release of their first album, "Glitzed." The band is comprised of 3 members – Josh Meredith, Aaron Anthony and Mike Hale – who each bring unique musical skills and specialties to the collective IS sound.
Init String's creativity has progressed from its analogous roots evolving to a fusion of psy influenced dance music unique to their own. To date, they have released four albums, mostly on their own label imprint, Subtle Distortion Records, as well as a wealth of tracks on compilations from other record labels. Known for their vicious live performances, the 3 continue to rock audiences across the world with their freestyle, booty shaking sounds.
